Latoya Britt Books

Author Bio

Latoya Britt is an African-American writer from Atlanta, GA. After graduating from the University of Georgia, she taught middle and elementary school for a number of years, before ultimately deciding to pursue a career in Oncology. She began to travel as an outlet for coping with grief and loss, sharing her adventures and explorations with her patients who often were unable to do the same. Now a mother herself, Latoya creates diverse characters and stories that reflect her own travels, motivating and encouraging young readers who dream of seeing the world.

Her debut book, Operation Puppy Patrol, is the first of a multi-cultural children’s book series that centers around an African-American girl, Kizzy, who accompanies her military father as he travels the world. Loosely inspired by Latoya’s background as a military BRAT, Kizzy meets new friends and discovers new things to learn in every place she visits.
